The program, launched in 1999, allows successful graduates to use the special designation Accredited Appraiser AAP (Accredited Appraiser Program, Canadian Jewellers Institute). This is the clients' assurance that the appraiser has not only identified the gems and metals accurately, but has detailed an accurate description of the piece, has researched the marketplace value of similar jewellery (new, used, or antique), and can justify the value placed on the item. I am pleased to become the first jeweller in Western Canada to receive this honourable designation. Insist on an Accredited AAP Appraisal if you are purchasing jewellery over $1,000.00.
