'Branding' a trademark of the manufacturer on the diamond is a much larger evolution in that the laser identification could actually increase the value of the diamond to its owners. There are currently about a dozen brand names on the market, and we are familiar with all of them. The most sought after however, are those proven to be 'conflict free' and set minimum standards of 'quality' in cut, colour, and clarity. The Aurias™ diamond is the only one in the world to meet these requirements.

MANUFACTURING (CUTTING)
Canadian diamonds need to be manufactured domestically to ensure it is truly Canadian. The 'Made in Canada' term essentially dictates that the majority of the cost incurred in manufacturing are of Canadian origin. Historically, Canada has been a raw material supplier to the world. The primary extraction often occurs here, and is then shipped elsewhere for manufacturing. It is in the highly trained, highly paid, and technologically advanced manufacturing processes that create wealth. Employees increase their standard of living, corporations prosper, and the countries global trade is enhanced.
