On a daily basis we work with our clients to ReDesign family heirloom gemstones into new innovative designs. Some jewellers call this restyling (restyle), remounting (remount), repurposing (repurpose) but we love calling it ReDesigning!

Crafted in gold or platinum, these pieces are made to be worn and enjoyed daily, instead of sitting in a jewellery box or safety deposit box! It is really cool to think about any piece of jewellery ever crafted in gold or platinum with genuine gemstones, that they are never thrown away. Always recycled, repaired or repurposed into something new. Whether you are thinking of repurposing your gemstones to create a ring, pendant, earrings, or bracelet - our team will work with you create something fabulously you. 

Examples of this would be to take your original engagement ring and wedding band set and making something new and beautiful that better reflects your aesthetic. Set your grandmother’s collection of diamonds into a fabulous piece that you can wear and enjoy, and know that a little piece of your family’s treasures are part of your everyday wardrobe. Use the diamond from your first marriage which is no longer being worn, and create a birthday or graduation gift for the child from that first marriage. Or, take that engagement ring from a break-up and set the diamond into a necklace that represents your personal growth throughout life’s ups and downs. Sometimes after many years of wear, these family heirlooms jewellery items require substantial repairs or are no longer a desirable style. We work with clients to ensure they are retaining the value of the gemstones and setting them into something they can enjoy everyday. 

How it works: 

• Use the contact form below to be in touch with one of our team members. From there we will be in touch asking you to answer a few questions and schedule a meeting time.
• At your in-store Diamond Gallery consultation you will be meeting with either Lisa or Allan Malbranck from our team whom are both GIA trained Graduate Gemologists. During your appointment we will review your gemstones, and inspect them in front of you to ensure they are good contenders for a ReDesign and also advise you of any damage, or if further testing on the gemstone(s) is required. We will help guide you through whatever styling you have in mind while also providing insight and ideas on what will work best for your gemstone(s). Estimates will be provided while you wait on the design option you like best, and we will give you a variety of price points to work with. Lastly, we are there to answer any question you may have about the process, as well as a timeline to complete the jewellery design.
